Taking the Muhavura trail exposes you to great dramatic views of other Virunga volcanoes, rift valley floor, Lake Edward and Rwenzori mountains. Hiking Muhavura Mountains takes 12 km for about 8 hours to and fro.

Mountain Gahinga locally means small piles of stone resulted from stones that would roll into local people’s farms and cover there crops. You walk through the bamboo forest to the swamp within the crater summit. This hike takes about 6 hours.
