Gorilla Tracking Tour for 3 Days

3 day Gorilla trekking tour in Rwanda takes two nights and three days in Volcanoes National Park. This is the shortest gorilla trekking package in Rwanda as in case you are travelling by road . While in the wilderness, nature may provide you with an opportunity to meet other primates such as black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red tailed monkeys, baboons to mention but a few.

Itinerary

DAY 1 – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Rise up early in the morning for breakfast then start on the journey to Volcanoes National park . The drive may take about 3 to 4 hours. The sweetness of this journey starts as you drive through the amazing countryside, feel the change is in air freshness and cool breeze from the hills. Spot some wonderful scenery such as incredible rivers, highlands, funny rock shapes, meandering rivers on the valley of highlands and so much more enroute.

This prehistoric Virunga Volcanoes Forest is an ancient forest situated in Rwanda. It has a breathtaking canopy rare to find as several natural forest have been destroyed. Volcanoes Park Forest is a primate haven and home to giant Mountain gorillas which are some of the few survivors of the ice age period. check in at your lodge enjoy your dinner and overnight at:

DAY 2 – Gorilla Tracking Day

When done with early morning breakfast, move to the ranger station for briefing. Pack light the relevant gorilla tracking gears including packed lunch, sound proof camera, drinking water, energy bites the list is endless. For the safety of your skin, dress up in long trousers because there are stinging nettles in the forest.

Gather with other trekkers for briefing at the ranger station by ORTPN ranger guide. In the company of a ranger guide, walk into the forest to begin the jungle game of searching for the gigantic brown eyed mountain gorillas.

Since the mountain gorillas are mobile and freely living in the wilderness, the time you take to find these apes is unknown. This trek is awesome as you may encounter other primates like olive baboons, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey tailed mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys.

Sometimes you may get back to the lodge early and not over fatigued so in this case you have an option of visiting the local community close by. Get back to your lodge ready to relax and cool off fatigue.

DAY 3 – Back Home After Gorilla Tracking

Having completed this 3 day Africa Adventure while gorilla trekking, drive to Kigali Airport to catch up with your home bound flight. Carry photos and memories of this fantastic experience with the mountain gorillas. It is a dream come true experience that is worth taking off your travel backlist.
