6 Day Fly in Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari

DAY 2 – Gorilla Trekking

With your packed lunch, proceed to the ranger station for briefing about gorilla trekking. Together with other gorilla trackers you will be divided into groups of 8 people and escorted into the forest to find the mountain gorillas.

The ranger guide will follow the trail where the mountain gorillas were last seen the previous day.  Some patience is required since the gorillas are highly mobile and the ranger guide follows the pass of the slowest trekker so that everyone is well catered for.

When you finally get to meet the gorillas, wait for your guide’s signal before taking photographs because he has to observe the behavior of the mountain gorillas.  Standing at about 7 meters, enjoy the gorillas and later return to the lodge to rest.

DAY 3 – Fly to Murchison Falls National Park

Having been with the mountain gorillas, get ready to fly to Murchison Falls National Park.  This is home of the  incredible Murchison Falls where the Nile squeezes through the narrow gorge bursts out thunderously forming a cloudy appearance to catch up with the rest of the course.

Arrive ready to check into your lodge you may take a walk to the top of the falls or decide to rest.

Dinner and Overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge/ Nile Safari Lodge/ Red chillis Camp

DAY 4 – Game Drive And launch Cruise

Rise up for a game drive in the northern sector of the Park. Enjoy the incredible view of varying vegetation cover patched by groups of animals like antelopes, may have the chance of spotting herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, monkeys, adorable rich avian life to mention but a few. Return to the lodge and relax.

After lunch, head for a launch cruise to Murchison falls where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge and bursts out producing a thundering sound. This dramatic appearance is so epic and picturesque.

As you sail, enjoy the various hippo schools, crocodiles, birds, elephants and so many other animals that quench there thirst from the banks of the river. Return to the lodge to relax.

DAY 5 – Return to Kampala or Entebbe

Having enjoyed your gorilla and wildlife safari in the wilderness, either drive or fly to Kampala as you wait for your excursion to Ngamba Island. Home of the orphaned chimpanzees.

Dinner and Overnight: Sheraton Hotel/ Acacia Suites/ Holiday express Hotel

DAY 6 – Visit Ngamba Island and Uganda Wildlife Education Center (UWEC)

After breakfast, head to the pier were you will be briefed about your encounter with the chimpanzees. These are rescued chimpanzees which cannot be returned to the wilderness after they are separated from there families. Participate in feeding them and watch them interact with each other.

Return to the land and enjoy a walk in the Uganda Wildlife Education center where you may have the chance of spotting the animals you may have missed out while in the wilderness.

This however requires booking a day room for freshening up but this is at a small addition fee but you may request our tour consultant to reserve the room for you.  Drive later to the airport to catch up with your flight back home.
