DAY 1 – Arrival at Entebbe Airport
Our driver guide will pick you from the airport and rive you to your Over night accommodation either in Uganda or Rwanda. In case you arrive early, you may take an optional excursion to Ngamba chimpanzee Sanctuary or Uganda wildlife Education centre or Kampala city tour or Mabamba Island for keen birders.
DAY 2 – Drive To Murchison Falls National Park
Early in the morning, wake up for breakfast and our driver guide will pick you from your overnight hotel and drive to Murchison fall National Park.
This park is the largest in the country with very may animals that you might see like the rothchild giraffes that are only found in Uganda, lions, herds of elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, leopards, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos and so many others.
The highlight of this park is the magnificent Murchison Falls where the Nile water races through a narrow gorge to form and burst out vigorously. Enroute, you visit the Ziiwa rhino sanctuary where rehabilitation of rhinos is taking place in Uganda. Carry on to Murchison fall.

DAY 3 – Game Drive And Launch Cruise
Rise up early in the morning for breakfast and your driver guide will take you for a game drive in the northern park of Murchison. In case you had your night on the southern side of the park, you need to get to the ferry crossing spot by 0600hrs to catch up with the early morning ferry.
During this drive, you might have the chance of spotting animals like lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, leopards to mention but a few. Return for a late day breakfast and relax. After lunch, get onto the boat for a launch cruise to the adrenaline stimulation Murchison falls.
At this spot, the Nile squeezes through the narrow gorge to burst out later and produce a thundering sound. Take pictures of this spectacular spot and return to your lodge.
DAY 4 – Drive to Fort Portal.
Get up early in the morning for breakfast and drive to fort Portal. Enjoy the scenery on the way. This drive is about 8 to 9 hours but scenic.
Dinner and over night at: Mountains of the moon hotel/ Fort Motel/ Rwenzori View Guest House.
DAY 5 – Drive to Bwindi National Park (home of the gorillas)
Early in the morning, enjoy your breakfast and your driver guide will take you to Bwindi National park. This is one of the two parks in Uganda that harbours mountain gorillas.
It is a thick forested park with a number of birds and other animals that share a home with the mountain gorillas. Arrive and relax as you prepare for the gorilla trek the next day.

DAY 6 – Gorilla Trekking In Uganda
Rise up early in the morning for breakfast and head to the ranger station for briefing. You will be told on how you are expected to behave on this gorilla trek and what to expect in the jungle.
The ranger guide will later escort you into the forest to search for the gorillas whose location is not definite. You will first go to the areas where they were last sighted the previous day and then carry on with the search. The jungle is quite slippery so you need to be a little fit so as to walk over the muddy ground.
The gorillas may get to notice your presence before you do so you need to follow the regulations of gorilla trekking. When you get to see the gorillas, you must wait for the ranger guide’s order to take photo graphs, Stay in there company for only one hour. Later return to the lodge and relax.
DAY 7 – Drive to Volcanoes national park Rwanda
Get up early in the morning fro breakfast and drive to Rwanda for a second gorilla trek. The drive is between 2 and 5 hours depending on the sector of Bwindi National park where you trekked the gorillas. Arrive in Rwanda and relax at your lodge:

DAY 8 – Gorilla tracking In Rwanda (Second gorilla Trek)
Having taken your breakfast, head to the ranger station for briefing and head into the forest for the gorilla search. You might get the chance of seeing other primates like blue monkeys, grey checked mangabey, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys , birds to mention but a few.
Hike the slopes and you may get to see them at the top of the hills or view them feeding from the flat land areas. View the gorillas and take there photographs. With the two gorilla tracking experiences, you get to enjoy the company of the gorillas at least for two hours.
DAY 9 – Return home after gorilla trekking safari
Having had the double gorilla trekking experience, get back to your country carrying only memories of your Uganda Rwanda gorilla tracking safari.

A waterproofed backpack is vital for your camera because it may rain at any time without warning, water bottle to quench your thirst as you trek to see the mountain gorillas and snacks.
