Gorilla tracking road trip in Africa can best be done on a Uganda safari. You will see the mountain gorillas and enjoy a game drive in queen Elizabeth National Park. You have an optional boat ride to Ngamba Chimpanzee rescue Island at a relatively small extra cost.
Day 1 Drive To Bwindi Forest National Park
Rise up early in the morning and your driver guide will be ready to transport you to Bwindi forest National Park. The road trip is about 8 hour to 9 hours however several stopovers make the ride interesting. You may decide to stop at the equator to take photos and perform the water experiment. Arrive late in the evening to check into your lodge.

Having enjoyed your breakfast, you will move to the ranger station for briefing. You will be advised on how to behave while in the forest and divided into groups of 8 trekkers. The ranger guide follows the pace of the slowest person in the group however you must remember that the time for finding the gorillas is not known as they keep moving. In order not to take a very long time in the forest, try to do some exercises to keep fit and not to delay the rest of the group. Other primates like the vervet monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys to mention but a few. Birds always read to call out on anyone who cares to listen.
Finally when closer to the mountain gorillas, you will hear them marvel in the vines and murmur to each other. When they come into view, stand at a distance of about 7 meters away from them to avoid direct contact. Take pictures and enjoy just one hour with the mountain gorillas. Return home to relax .
Day 3 Drive To Queen Elizabeth National Park
Having seen the huge shy primates, you embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National park. This drive may take you passed the Ishasha sector of the park where you may have the chance of meeting the tree climbing lions, topis, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs and so many others can also be seen. Check into your lodge.

Get up early in the morning for a game drive. You will follow the trucks created so as to reduce on the off-truck driving. You may have the chance of seeing the early risers get out of there overnight spots. The prime game driving area of the park is the Mweya peninsular which is the northern part of the park. You may have the chance of meeting some pride of lions, elephants, leopards, water bucks, bush bucks, topis, buffaloes, hyenas, birds are in plenty, dry and wet craters that form an incredible view.
After lunch, get ready for a super launch cruise on Kazinga channel. This channel hosts lots of wildlife like schools of hippos, crocodiles, and its banks are always flooded with flocks of birds including foreign migrants. The vegetation around is also interesting to look at and home to incredible birds like greater and lesser flamingos, Egyptian geese, African skimmers, king fisher, chapin’s flycatcher, pink-backed pelican to mention but a few. Get back to the lodge to relax.
Day 5 Return to Entebbe catch up with your flight back home
Rise up early in the morning and drive back to Entebbe to catch up with your flight back home.
