To find discounted gorilla trekking permits for Uganda, your days of travel have to be within April to May and November 2026. The Uganda Wildlife Authority in February extended discounts on gorilla trekking permits to the public starting April 1^st to 31 May, throughout November. This is also low tourism season in Uganda when fewer tourists are expected to travel into the country.

The current cost of discounted gorilla trekking permits for Uganda is $600 per person for foreign non residents, $500 for foreign residents, $500 other Africans and East Africans 300,000shsh.

Cost Price of Gorilla Permit: The season for the low cost gorilla trekking permits is $600 for foreign nonresidents, $500 for foreign residents or other Africans and 300000 shs for East Africans.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The largest gorilla trekking habitant of Uganda is Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with its lush ever green cover and dense canopy. More than 20 gorilla trekking families in Bwindi forest are open to the public but these live in four areas into which the park is divided that is Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo.

• Gorilla trekking in Uganda is safe despite happening in dense natural Bwindi forest. The ranger guides from Uganda Wildlife Authority are well trained, professionals and experienced to protect the wildlife and tourists.

• Every gorilla trekking adventure is conducted by a ranger guide and a tourism police officer who carries a riffle along for any emergency.

• From the starting point, time to get to the mountain gorilla may be about 30 minutes and over as this varies with factors prevailing in the wilderness.
