Day 1 Fly To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Our driver guide will pick you from your overnight hotel and drive to Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.  Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a tropical rain forest situated in southwestern Uganda. It is home to the mountain gorillas that are a few leftover in the world. Day 2 Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

After briefing, the ranger guides lead the way using the trail heads heading to the location of where the mountain gorillas were last seen on the previous day.

Since time of finding the mountain gorillas may be hard to determine, open your mind to seeing other forest dwellers including olive baboons, black and white colobus, vervet monkeys and others. A number of birds can be seen around the park including Albertine rift endemics especially in the Rihija area.

On the way to find the mountain gorillas, the ground may be quite soggy from the regular rains that fall yet less sunlight penetrates through to the ground.
