Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a primeval luxuriant tropical rain forest situated in southwestern corner of Uganda. Gorilla safari are the main safari activity in this park that is gorilla trekking and gorilla habituation experience. During gorilla trekking tourist are allowed 1 hour with fully habituated gorilla family while gorilla habituation experience maximum four tourist accompany a team of researchers to be with a semi-habituated gorilla family for four hours.
A number of primates are also residents of Bwindi forest with about 10 primate species present in the park including black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, red tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, l’hoest and others.
Bwindi forest is a prime birding Uganda tour destination. Over 350 bird species including 7 species on the red list of IUCN and 90% of Albertine Rift endemics which are quite hard to tress in any other parts of East Africa.
