Wake up for a game drive on the tracks within Queen Elizabeth National Park. Kasenyi grassland track is known to host large prides of lions that prey on the Uganda Kobs. Get up early and transfer to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee trekking. Kyambura gorge is believed to have been part of the vast Maramagambo forest but this forested part was separated and isolated by natural forces.
A community of chimpanzees live in this 100 meters deep gorge and find them is quite challenging but interesting as you slope to the bottom. Other primates are present in the forest too including olive baboons, grey cheeked mangabey and more. Several birds can be spotted in this forest while searching for the chimpanzees.
