6 day Uganda Gorilla Tracking And Game Safari From Tanzania

DAY 2 – Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest

After breakfast, get ready to head to the briefing point where you will be informed about how to behave while with the gorillas.

Do not forget to carry gorilla tracking gears including the Masks and hand sanitizer. You will also be informed about how to behave on the way to meet the mountain gorillas.

Later the ranger guide will escort you into the forest to start searching for the great apes. Along the way, you may have the chance of spotting olive baboons, black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red tailed monkeys , blue monkeys to mention but a few.

Finally when you get to meet the mountain gorillas, you are advised to be at least 10 meters away from them. This is to prevent spread of any communicable infection to them and to you.

Take photos as instructed by the ranger guide and spend one precious hour with the gorillas. Return to the lodge to relax.

DAY 3 – Drive To Murchison Falls National Park

Rise up early for breakfast and drive to Murchison Falls National park. The drive is quite long but very scenic.

Pass by lush vegetation cover, incredible water bodies and so much more. Arrive late Evening to check in

There is another option of flying to Murchison Falls in case you do not want a long drive.

DAY 4 – Game drive and Launch Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park

An early morning game drive will give you great opportunity of seeing numerous wildlife as they rise from overnight hideout.

A game drive on the Mweya peninsular is a chance to see animals like Rothschild giraffes, herds of buffalos, Oribi, wildebeests, leopards, lions, hyenas, warthogs, Uganda Kobs and so much more.

Several birds linger in the park and lots of primates like black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, olive baboons to mention but a few.

Watch the amazing view of River Nile and all its surrounding and take photos for memories.

After lunch the launch cruise to magical Murchison Falls is the highlight of the day. As you sail, you watch pods of hippos relaxing in the water while Nile crocodiles open wide there giant mouths. Watch numerous birds that nest in the cliff along River Nile.

As you draw closer to the falls, you will feel the turbulence of the boat change, the water surface becomes foam too. Finally you feel the power of Murchison falls as water squeezes through the narrow gorge to burst out producing a thundering sound.

On a clear day, the rain bow may be formed right before your eyes as cloudy appearance is also displayed.

Return to your lodge to relax.

DAY 5 – Chimpanzee Trekking in Kaniyo Pabidi Murchison Falls

Get up early morning for the chimpanzee trekking expedition. Do not forget to wear your mask and hand sanitizer. You will be briefed on how to behave while searching for chimpanzees. Follow the trails that have been constructed by regular trekkers.

They are very sensitive primates that watch out for intruders in there territory. You need to be calm as you walk so as not to miss out on other interesting primates, birds, butterflies and so much more. The forest is rich with a variety of wildlife and lots of ancient tree species.

When you take the optional visit to Bigodi Swamp, you may have the chance of seeing lots of other primates like olive baboons, blue monkeys, red tailed monkey, black and white colobus to mention but a few.

Get back to your lodge to relax.

DAY 6 – Drive Back To Entebbe Airport

Having enjoyed your moment with the mountain gorilla, seen the wildlife in Murchison Falls drive to Entebbe Airport to catch up with your flight back home.
