DAY 1 – Road Trip To Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Rise up early morning for breakfast before your driver guide picks from your overnight hotel. You will carry on to Mpambire Village where you may stop to enjoy the craft nature of Ugandan art work involving making of unique local drums. Another optional stop may be at the equator to perform the water experiment and take photos standing on both the Northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere at the same time

As you go through the rolling hills of Kigezi to arrive at Bwindi forest late in the evening enjoy the way. The road are a bit bumpy too. Check into your lodge.

DAY 2 -Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest

Early in the morning, after breakfast, head to the ranger station to meet other trekkers. You will be given some instructions on what you are expected to do while searching for the gorillas. In case you need a porter to carry you gorilla tracking gears or give you a push when tired, this is the moment.

In groups of 8 trekkers, move into the forest to start searching for the gorillas. They are quite shy animals so you need not to disrupt there environment with noise.

You may have the chance of seeing other primates like the black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey to mention but a few. The forest also host a rich bird life that are unique especially the albertine endemics.

Finally you get to find the treasured mountain gorillas. You need to be ready to face them as they normally first sight may stimulate your adrenaline. Try to avoid looking directly into there eyes as this may cause them to go into hiding.

Take as many photos for memories of this dream come true encounter with the mountain gorillas using a flash less camera. Only one hour is permitted in the presence of the mountain gorillas. Return to the lodge and relax

DAY 3 – Road Trip to Kibale Forest Park

After breakfast, your guide driver will pick you from your overnight hotel and take you to Kibale Forest Park. The drive may take about 5 to 6 hours but very interesting as you may have the chance of seeing Mountain Rwenzori ranges that stand straight from a distance.

Get into the tropical Natural forest where you may have the chance of identifying variety of birds and monkeys that roam the park. Check into your lodge to relax

DAY 4 – Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Having enjoyed breakfast, head to the ranger station for briefing. You will be advised on the way to behave while in the forest. In the company of your ranger guide, you will begin searching for the chimpanzees.

During the dry seasons, they normally feed from the ground while during the wet seasons they normally feed from the tree branches. Look out for other primates like black and white colobus, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus to mention but a few.

Birds that move in this forest are uncountable and for keen birders that is another opportunity to grab. Finally when you get to see the chimpanzees stay with them enjoying there cheeky behavior. Follow there interesting interactive ways while in the forest and then return to your lodge.

You may also request for an optional trek to Bigodi swamp where numerous more primates like the bush babies, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys can be seen. There are high chances of seeing rare birds like the shoe bill.

DAY 5 – Drive Back to Entebbe or Kampala

Get up early morning for breakfast and your ranger guide will pick you from your overnight lodge. Drive through Fort Portal. Take an optional stop to the Nakayima Tree one of the ancient points in Buganda with a great mythical history in case time is available. Arrive in the afternoon to check into your Hotel.

DAY 6 – Visit Ngamba Island and Departure

Early in the morning, drive to the pier in Entebbe to visit the Ngamba Chimpanzee Orphanage. Here rescued, orphaned and lost chimpanzees are given home to stay at. They are given an environment similar to the jungle although they are fed at designated time.

When you arrive at the Island, you will head to the feeding platform to take part in feeding the chimpanzees. Watch them feeding and survival for the fittest theory is surely well displayed.

Return to the land to drive to the airport and catch up with your home bound flight
