6 Day Game Safari And Chimpanzee Tracking In Uganda

DAY 2 – Game drive And Launch Cruise To Murchison Falls

Get up early and take some energy bites then board your vehicle to meet the early risers as they emerge from there night hideouts. You may have the chance of seeing animals like buffaloes, giraffes, herds of elephants, Oribi, warthogs, bush bucks, hartebeests, Uganda Kobs, water bucks, lions, leopards, crocodiles in water, school of hippos to mention but a few

After lunch, pack your camera for a memorable cruise to Murchison Falls. These spectacular falls are located at the bend where the River Nile forces its way through a 7 meters wide gorge. The River later vigorously bursts out to form a cloudy appearance. On the way, you may get to see numerous birds that live on the escarpments at the banks, the huge Nile crocodiles, huge Nile perch, hippopotamus to mention but a few.

As you draw closer to the falls, you will feel a change in the turbulence of the boat and the river surface will appear foamy. Finally you get closer to Murchison falls where all action happens. Watch the river display the drama and take some memorable pictures. Return to the lodge to relax.

DAY 3 – Road ride to Queen Elizabeth National park

Rise up for early morning breakfast and drive through the country side of Uganda to Queen Elizabeth National park. This is home of unique wildlife and birds. It has an interesting back drop of snow-capped Rwenzori that stands elevated up as if to touch the sky.

Enjoy a game drive as you enter the pack where you may get to see animals like elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, bush bucks, lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, and so much more.

DAY 4 – Game Drive and Launch cruise on Kazinga Channel

Game drives are best done early morning but don’t forget to take some energy bites. You will head to the crater lakes area where numerous wild animals spend there day. You will get to see a number of both dry and wet crater lakes places at the bottom of the rift valley.

Several animals may be seen like herds of elephants, herds of buffaloes that love wallowing in the muddy crater lakes cosmetics, Topis, hyenas, lions, warthogs, unique birds like martial eagles, chapin’s fly catcher, corncrake to mention but a few

After lunch head to the pier for another fantastic launch cruise. This is the prime wildlife watching point as several animals congregate at the shore. Plenty of birds decorate the banks like the greater and lesser flamingoes, African skimmers, papyrus gonolek, shoe bill, black-rumped buttonquail the list is endless.

Several animals like lions normally wait for there prey, herds of elephants, buffaloes, topis, hyenas to mention but a few, Crocodiles and hippos also make log like structures in the channel. Enjoy the cool breeze and return to your lodge

DAY 5 – Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge

Having enjoyed the other wildlife, head for a chimpanzee tracking experience to find the closest cousins of humans in the wild. They live in families under the leadership of the alpha male. They normally stay at the slopes of the gorge so carry trekking boots to assist you while in the forest.

On the way you may have the chance of seeing other primates like the black and white colobus, grey cheeked mangabey, red tailed monkeys to mention but a few. When you get to find the chimpanzees, take photos and return to the lodge to rest.

DAY 6 – Drive back to Entebbe Airport

Having enjoyed your experience in the jungle with game drives during your Uganda Safari and chimpanzee tracking, drive back to Entebbe airport to catch up with your flight back home.
