Trip Highlights

DAY 1 – Drive to Jinja Before Gorilla Tracking

Early in the morning, our safari guide will pick you from your overnight hotel and take you to Jinja. On the way, you will have a stopover at Sezzibwa falls which is the dwelling place for Buganda Traditional spirits. Carry on through the magnificent Mabira Forest which is one of the surviving tropical forests in Uganda. Visit the source of the Nile and then head to Bujjagali falls for scenic viewing. Drive back to Kampala for dinner and overnight at.

DAY 2 – Ngamba Island for Chimpanzees trekking

Rise up in the morning for breakfast and head to Ngamba Island for your encounter with the Chimpanzees. These are some of the orphaned or rescued chimpanzees from the wilderness. You will arrive in time for feeding the apes and stand at the pier as you watch them feed. This is one of the most exhilarating activities in Ngamba Island. It is quite interesting seeing the apes as they struggle for food. You have the chance of taking a walk on the shores of Lake Victoria or relax. Return on land for lunch and drive to UWEC for an encounter of the wild animals in exhibits. This is like the summary of the parks in Uganda. Dinner and overnight at the lodge of your budget.

DAY 3 – Kampala City tour

Get up early in the morning for breakfast and enjoy a city tour in Kampala. Head to Bulange Mengo the home of the Buganda King, Kabaka’s lake, Bahai temple, Namugongo Uganda Martyr’s shrine and Uganda Museum. Return to your hotel and wait for your dinner and overnight.

DAY 4 – Murchison Falls Tour Uganda/ Ziiwa Rhino sanctuary.

Get up early in the morning for breakfast and our safari guide will be ready to drive you to Murchison falls National Park. On the way, you will visit the Ziiwa rhino sanctuary. This is where the rhinos are being rehabilitated after the 1980s wars and the traditional belief in the Rhino horns. Have lunch and carry on to Murchison falls where you hike to the top of the falls. This is where the Nile squeezes its self through the narrow gorge producing a roaring sound. Carry on to the lodge for dinner and overnight at:

DAY 5 – Game Drive and Launch Cruise

Rise up early in the morning and move to the northern part of the park for a marvelous morning game drive. This drive may give you the chance to see animals like lions, elephants, hartebeests, water bucks bush bucks, giraffes to mention but a few. Return to your lodge for the late day breakfast. Wait for your lunch and head to the Nile valley for a breathtaking launch cruise. You may have the chance of seeing other animals in big groups as they come down to quench there thirst. This is the birder’s haven as a number of birds congregate at the shores of the river. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

DAY 6 – Drive to Kibale National Park

After your breakfast, drive to Kibale national park. This drive is very long but filled with scenic spots along the way. Arrive late in the evening ready for dinner and overnight at:

DAY 7 – Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi Swamp walk

Get up early in the morning for breakfast and head to the Kanyanchu tourist center for briefing. Afterwards, your safari guide will be ready to lead you into the forest to begin searching for the chimps. These apes keep moving from one area to another as they search for food. When you get closer to them, you will hear them hoot because they may have seen you before you do or others may be alerting there counterparts of your presence. On the way, you will be entertained by other primates like the red tailed monkeys, grey checked mangebay, black and white colobus monkeys to mention but a few. Return to your lodge and relax or enjoy a community walk in the Bigodi area. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

DAY 8 – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Rise up early in the morning for breakfast and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy a game drive as you enter into the park. On the way, you may have the chance of seeing some animals like buffaloes, warthogs, antelope species, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, and elephants. Relax and wait for the following day activity.
