This primate safari requires you to have a Uganda gorilla trekking permit and chimpanzee tracking permit . Starting July 2020, the Uganda Gorilla permit will cost $700 while the chimpanzee permit in Uganda will be selling at $ 200
Accommodation during this primate safari is also very vital as you have to spend the night closer to the area where your gorilla permit has been booked. And this is the same with the chimpanzee permit as you have to be briefed about your chimpanzee experience.

Fuel or Gas
Arrive in Uganda the day before the start of your primate Uganda Safari to avoid panic.
On each day of the year Gorilla trekking and chimpanzee tracking can be arranged. However this primate experience just like all travel sites has peak time and low time. During the peak seasons the prices for all the safari packages are very high yet during the low seasons, the prices for the packages my differ.
For the gorilla permit and chimpanzee permit, advance booking of you need to book a gorilla trekking permit at least 3 months. This gives you the comfort as first come first served basis is used when selling the gorilla permits to the public.
Only persons aged 15 and above years are allowed to do gorilla trekking but for chimpanzees tracking persons above the age of 12 years are allowed to meet the chimpanzees.
In case you catch a cold before gorilla trekking or chimpanzee tracking, volunteer to stay behind as these contagious diseases affect these primates and may at times cause them death.
The gorilla trekking expedition requires one to have some fitness as the terrain is dominated by volcanic action.
The purpose for limiting the number of persons who visit the mountain gorilla each day to 8 persons is for Conservation reason. Your participation in this cause gives the herbivorous gorillas and chimpanzees food safety.
Try as much as possible to stay on the trails made by regular trekkers as to protect foliage on which the gorillas and chimpanzees survive.
For anything canned, after eating the content do not liter to save the mountain gorillas and chimpanzees from swallowing it which may lead to severe sickness and die.
Anyone with an infection is requested to stay behind so as not to infect the chimpanzees or mountain gorillas as they are highly susceptible to human infections which may turn into death.
Stay close with the rest of the trekkers as this is a jungle where you may get lost.
Ask the ranger guide to excavate a hole for you in case you want to ease yourself. Cover up completely beyond trace.
