Chimpanzee trekking has two sessions early morning at 0800hours and afternoon 1500hours. Each time you need to attend briefing on time taking about 2 hours to 3 hours in the forest.

You must get gorilla permits for both gorilla trekking and chimpanzee trekking in advance because they are sold off fast yet a limited number each one’s permits are released per day.

What Is The Cost Of Chimpanzee Trekking Permits And Gorilla Permits In Uganda

The current cost of Uganda gorilla permits is $700 for foreign nonresidents, $600 for foreign residents, 250000 shs for East African residents.

 Kibale chimpanzee trekking permits costs $200 per person per session and prices for other chimpanzee trekking destinations vary with destination.

 Park Entrance fees for the National parks

 The Uganda wildlife Authority charges a fee for entering every National park. this is support fund for the conservation and maintenance of these parks. The conservation of the primates in Uganda requires some funding and government support.

Ranger Guide Fees for both Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking

This is the job for the rangers so they deserve to be paid to encourage them to devote themselves to support the life of these primates. They are vulnerable primates that deserve  to be defended. The rangers do a lot to learn about theses primates from the wild and pass this information to tourists.

Gorilla and Chimpanzee Medical Care Fund

Teams of veterinary doctors often do timely check ups on these primates by randomly collecting dung or blood samples to check in the labs and establish there general health status. How Difficult Is Gorilla And Chimpanzee Trekking Safari

Gorilla trekking in Africa is done in highland areas where at times you are required to hike the slopes to get to where the mountain gorillas are lounging.
