You will follow the group of researchers who help the gorillas get familiar with human presence. You are one of the lucky tourists for the day to do gorilla habituation.
Gorilla habituation take about 3 hours to 4 hours. Follow the instructions from the researchers as they are more familiar with the wild gorillas.
Sometimes the gorillas go into hiding when an unfamiliar face comes there way but try to be patient. Assist in taking some notes for the day, try to stay close to the entire group so that you are not lost in the wilderness.
After your session, breakoff for lunch and return to the lodge to relax.
Day 3 Road Trip for Chimpanzee trekking Kibale National Park
Having experienced gorilla habituation in Bwindi Forest, embark on a road trip to Kibale National Park. The drive may last between 6 to 7 hours but very scenic as you get the chance to see the amazing rolling hills of Rwenzori.
Check into your lodge and prepare to meet the chimpanzees the following day.

Day 4 Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
Early in the morning, enjoy breakfast and head to the ranger station for briefing. You will be advised on how to behave while with the chimpanzees.
They have a big network that guards the rest of the community so in case they notice your presence, they hit the tree trunks to alert others. Other primates linger the forest like black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, red tailed mangabey, blue monkeys and so many others.
Finally when you get to meet the chimpanzees, watch the way they do there day to day activities like gathering food, grooming the infants and so much more. Chimpanzees are indeed the closest cousins of humans amongst animals.
You may also have the chance to watch them make nests for the night. It is very interesting to watch the chimpanzees take care of themselves.
