What You need For Flying Gorilla Tracking Safari
You need to have a gorilla tracking permit
A valid passport is relevant during check in time
Have limited baggage so that you are not charged extra baggage as the free baggage allowance is 30 kilograms.
Arrive at the check point at least an hour before departure
Book a transfer vehicle to the airport and from the airstrip in Kihihi to the lodge in case you are organizing your own transport. In case we are making all these arrangements for you, we include this in our prices
Try to avoid booking international flights to Uganda on the same date that your Uganda domestic flight is booked. This may be risky in case of delay of your international flight into Uganda yet you have to connect with an early morning flight. Day 1 Fly To Bwindi forest National Park
Depending on your check-in time, drive to the Airport to catch up with your domestic flight. Arrive at Kihihi Airstrip and you will be picked and transferred to your lodge.

Day 2 Gorilla Tracking In Bwindi Forest
Get up early in the morning and put together your gorilla trekking gears before heading for breakfast. Do not forget to carry your packed lunch as the return time is not known after gorilla trekking.
You will be advised about how to behave while you trek to find the gorillas and when you meet them. The wilderness is endowed with other primates like the black and white colobus, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, olive baboons, blue monkeys the list is endless. This park is also the birder’s haven as numerous birds including the albertine endemics live in the park.
Finally when you get closer to the gorillas, you may hear them murmur as if to alert others of your presence. Walk into vision but stand at a distance of about 7 meters away so that you can enjoy there full view. Watch the family feed, play, groom the infants, and sometimes the silverback back may want to display his authority over the rest of the family. Avoid looking direct into the eyes of the gorillas because this may agitate them sending them into hiding. Take photographs for memories and return to the lodge to relax.
Day 3 Drive to Kibale National Park
Get up early in the morning and take breakfast. You will later drive to Kibale National park the home of the chimpanzees. Chimpanzees are the closet neighbors of humans in animal kingdom with genes of about 98% similarity to those of humans.
Arrive in Kibale Forest National park and check in

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking
When you rise up early in the morning, after breakfast carry with you your chimpanzees trekking gears and head to the ranger station for briefing. You will be told how to behave while searching for the chimpanzees, what you may expect to see during the search for the chimpanzees and how to behave when you finally get to see them.
Chimpanzees normally love feeding from the ground during the hot seasons and usually stay in the tree branches during the wet season. As you draw closer, you may get to hear them calling at each other. Finally when you get to see them, take photos for memories and if early in the morning, you may have the chance of seeing them de-nesting and in case you are booked on the afternoon chimpanzee trek, you may see the chimpanzees making nests for the night. Get back to your lodge and relax
Day 5: Ngamba Island And return flight
Fly back to Entebbe to catch up with your flight back home or take an option of an excursion to Ngamba Chimpanzee Island at a slightly additional cost.
