Itinerary

DAY 1 – Road trip To Bwindi Impenetrable Park

Get up early for breakfast and your driver guide will take you through a summary of your family gorilla tracking and game safari.

All park activities in Uganda are conducted in the countryside so get ready for a road trip. You may get to see some of the amazing scenery like the Lwera Swamp. Stopover at the equator to perform a water experiment and take photos standing on both North and southern hemisphere.

Lunch is enroute and drive through the lush green cover of Cold Kigezi arriving late afternoon. Ready to check in.

DAY 2 – Family Gorilla Tracking Day in Bwindi Forest

Having taken breakfast, carry your gorilla tracking back pack including your packed lunch. The time of returning is not known as gorillas keep moving in the wilderness. They love looking for there own food.

The jungle is full of interesting creatures like enchanting monkeys. Some of the world biggest population of monkeys are residents here like black and white colobus, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys and so much more.

Plenty of birds live in this forest including the famous Albertine endemics of which about 23 of the 24 bird species are residents.

As you walk along, you may have the chance of seeing water falls, ridges, and unique tree species.

Finally when you get to meet the mountain gorillas, you will be advised to take a few moments observing there behavior. Take photos for memories.

Look at how mountain gorillas take care of each other and the grooming. After an hour with the gorillas, return to the lodge.

DAY 3 – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park

Having been with lots of primates, drive to Queen Elizabeth National park. This royal park harbors wonderful features like the Rwenzori ranges, lions, elephants, bush bucks, buffaloes, leopards to mention but few.

Check into your lodge to relax.

DAY 4 – Game Drive and Launch Cruise In Queen Elizabeth National Park

An early morning game drive gives you the chance to see early risers awake from there night hide out to find day hang outs.

You may have the chance to meet herds of elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, bush bucks, statungas, to mention but a few.

A number of crater lakes are distributed within the park both wet and dry crater. Enjoy the incredible view as you drive by.

After lunch, head to the pier to enjoy a boat ride on Kazinga channel. This is like haven for wildlife as majority move down to quench thirst.

Birds live on the shores of Kazinga channel are uncountable both local and foreign birds. They enjoy the marshy ground and have fun picking fish that swims closer to the banks.

The surrounding highlands as you cruise along are amazing and you have chances of having wildlife in the background of your photos.

Return to the lodge to relax

DAY 5 – Return Home

Having enjoyed your experience of wildlife and gorilla tracking with family, drive to Entebbe. You have to get ready for your return flight.

A waterproofed backpack is vital for your camera because it may rain at any time without warning, water bottle to quench your thirst as you trek to see the mountain gorillas and snacks.

If not sure of your fitness, you may hire a porter for a small fee to carry your backpack and help you up the steeper slopes.
