DAY 1 – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park


When you wake up early in the morning, our safari driver will be ready to welcome you and drive you to Bwindi national park. This park is situated in the south western part of the country. Bwindi Forest is the home of the Mountain gorillas that are considered by UNESCO as one of few survivors of the ice age period.

The forest is very thick with talk trees that form a very dense canopy at the top. Enjoy your lunch enroute and carry on passing the undulating hills of Kisoro. Arrive late in the evening and enjoy your dinner and overnight at:

DAY 2 – Gorilla Tracking


Having taken your morning breakfast, head to the ranger station with your gorilla tracking gears and packed food. You are require to put on long trousers because there are stinging nestles in the forest.

You will later be briefed by the guide who will lead you into the forest to start searching for the huge apes. The time you take to find these apes is very unpredictable and but you will be entertained by other apes like baboons, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey tailed mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys and so many others.

In case you are not so tied, take an optional community walk to the Batwa land and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Dinner and overnight at the lodge of your choice.

DAY 3 – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park


Early in the morning, head take your breakfast and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. You may drive through the Ishasha Sector which is home to the prides of tree climbing lions.

In case you are chanced, you may spot some in the fig trees or under the trees. Other animals like elephant families, buffaloes , water bucks, bush bucks, statugas to mention but a few may cross your way. Enjoy a game drive through the park and check in to your lodge.

DAY 4 – Game Drive and Launch cruise


Rise up for an early morning game drive in the northern crater area. You may have the chance of seeing the early risers getting out of there overnight hide outs and the nocturnal return into hiding.

You may also see lions, elephant, buffaloes, warthogs, water bucks, bush bucks and several others. On a clear day, you may have the chance of driving to the queen’s pavilion and also view the Rwenzori ice top. The park is endowed with lots of crater lakes. Get back to the lodge for late day breakfast. After lunch, head to the pier for a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel where numerous animals quench there thirst and also cool off the days’ heat.

A number of birds can be spotted at the shores like the greater and lesser flamingos, Egyptian geese, cattle egrets and several others. Return to the lodge and relax as you wait for dinner.

DAY 5 – Drive to Kibale National park/ Nature Walk


Rise up early in morning for breakfast and drive to Kibale National park. This is a moist forest which is endowed with a number of primates.

Numerous birds are also residents of this natural forest especially in the Bigodi Swampy sector of the park. Enjoy a Nature walk in the forest as you wait for your chimpanzee trek the following day.

DAY 6 – Chimpanzee trekking


Early in the morning, take your breakfast and head to the ranger station for briefing on what to do on your trek. The chimpanzees live in communities under the leadership of an alpha male.

He is democratically chosen by the family members not based on his age but capability. On the way, you may spot other primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red tailed monkeys and several others that roam around the park premise.

Return to the lodge and after lunch, in case you are not so tired, there is an optional walk to Bigodi swamp where eye captivating birds can be spotted including the rare shoe bill. Get back to the lodge and relax.

DAY 7 – Drive to Murchison Falls National park


Having enjoyed Uganda’s beauties in the west, rise up early for breakfast and drive to Murchison falls National Park. This park is bisected by the might Nile with an eye captivating view of Murchison falls where the Nile waters cascade down the high cliff to join the rest of the course.

It is a dramatic experience. The drive is quite long but very scenic. Arrive in the evening ready for dinner at:

DAY 8 – Game Drive and Launch Cruise


Early in the morning, enjoy a game dive in the northern sector of the park. You may have the chance of spotting Giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, oil wells, amazing highland and return to the lodge for late day breakfast.

After lunch, head to the piers for the launch cruise to Murchison falls. You will enjoy the view of the amazing features of the park. When you get closer to the falls, take pictures and return to the lodge and relax.

DAY 8 – Game Drive and Launch Cruise


Early in the morning, enjoy a game dive in the northern sector of the park. You may have the chance of spotting Giraffes, lions, elephants, buffaloes, oil wells, amazing highland and return to the lodge for late day breakfast. After lunch, head to the piers for the launch cruise to Murchison falls. You will enjoy the view of the amazing features of the park. When you get closer to the falls, take pictures and return to the lodge and relax.

DAY 9 – Drive to Entebbe and Ziiwa Rhino visit


Early in the morning, drive to Kampala but enjoy a stop over at the Ziiwa rhino sanctuary. You will walk to find the Rhinos.

They are being reintroduced in Uganda where they had been evicted in the 1980s because of the several wars. Others were hunted for there horn.

DAY 10 – Ngamba Island and return home


Early in the morning, sail to Ngamba Chimpanzee Island or visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for behind the scenes programme.  Later, drive to the airport and return home.

A waterproofed backpack is vital for your camera because it may rain at any time without warning, water bottle to quench your thirst as you trek to see the mountain gorillas and snacks.

If not sure of your fitness, you may hire a porter for a small fee to carry your backpack and help you up the steeper slopes.
