Kabaka’s Man Made Lake

The Royal Mile

Just below the Mengo Kabaka’s place is the astonishing royal Mile with eye captivating portraits of animals. These represent the clans of Buganda.

Namugongo Uganda Martry’s Shrine

Visit the Uganda Martyrs’ Shrine in Namugongo where over 23 innocent young men were brutally massacred by Kabaka Mwanga’s order.

Some were slaughtered while others were burnt to death alive. A Cone shaped Basilica was built in there recognition.

Bahai Temple

This is the biggest of its kind in Africa. The Temple has one of the coolest sceneries where you can see the aerial view of Kampala City.

The beautiful well looked after gardens surrounding the temple are nice spots for out-door photography.

The Uganda Museum

Uganda’s historical antiquities are stored in this museum. A lot of historical tales placed on the walls speak about the background of the present day Uganda.

Cultural material, educational material, vintage cars, early industrial work are all placed in this museum.

Balikuddembe Market

This is one of the oldest local markets in Uganda. Here numerous trader deal in different merchandise ranging from food stuffs, clothing, metal works and so much more.

 Rubaga Cathedral Catholic Church

This is the catholic cathedral church. It is a historical church with great information about the coming of the missionaries in Uganda.

Day 1 Drive to Lake Mburo National park. This is the closet park to Entebbe Airport. You take about 3 hours to 4 hours on the road.

Day 2: rise up early for a game drive where you may get chance to see impalas, water bucks, bush bucks, giraffes, Uganda Cobs, elandas, buffaloes, elephants to mention but a few.

Boat trip on Lake Mburo gives you the opportunity to see numerous birds, variety of wild animals. The fishermen may be seen on the lake too.
